How long do you have to go to school to become a physical therapist? Currently, physical therapy programs are doctoral programs.  This results in about 7 years of college education.  Programs are also very competitive and only select a limited number of applicants. What is the most common issue you treat? I have treated many different conditions from the head to the feet but the most common issue I’ve treated is spine conditions such as low back and neck pain.  With my specialization in women’s health I also treat conditions related to this such as pelvic pain, incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.
